Meet Kat Spina
Kat Spina is a seasoned singer-songwriter whose captivating vocals and heartfelt lyrics have earned her a dedicated following. Raised in a small hamlet outside New York City, Kat began her musical journey at the age of eight. Her unique style, often compared to that of Norah Jones, has been honed through collaborations with industry luminaries such as Grammy-nominated producer Peter Darmi, Grammy-winning producer Brian Forbes, and Matt Anthony from Engine Sound in NYC.
Kat has released two studio albums, Engaging the Muse and Chasing Shadows, both of which showcase her talents as a songwriter, arranger, and producer. Her music, which spans a wide emotional spectrum, has been featured on platforms like WHUD NY 100.7 and BBC Radio, and her single "Gotta Say" has been selected for TV/Film sync licensing with Triple Scoop Music. Notably, Kat's song "Remember When" was featured in the off-Broadway production King of the Rodeo.
In addition to her musical achievements, Kat is an experienced educator, having taught voice, piano, guitar, and artist development since 2008. She holds a B.S. in Music Therapy from SUNY New Paltz and an M.A. in Communications from Pace University. In 2020, she launched Engaging the Muse, a podcast dedicated to exploring the creative process. Kat is now launching an online course for aspiring singers, drawing on her extensive experience to help others unlock their vocal potential.
